Deletion of data pursuant to the fdpa

Are you planning to sell your hardware and want to be certain that all data are irretrievably deleted? We are happy to delete this data for you and naturally undertake this process in accordance with the current provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (FDPA).

Working conform to data protection legislation, we remove all the relevant data carriers and hard drives from the units and delete the data with the Blancco Data Cleaner – BLS Server software. The DoD method (overwritten 3 times) and the BSI method (overwritten 7 times) are standard at IVC. The data are deleted solely by properly qualified staff sworn to secrecy in accordance with § 53 FDPA.

Every track, sector and cylinder on a hard drive is overwritten using selected data deletion standards and algorithms or with random samples. All existing data are thus removed, including those of the operating system, thus making it impossible to retrieve the data.

The data carriers in the units to be disposed of are either taken over already separated or they are removed on our premises, before being taken to our site by our certified carrier conform to data protection regulations and subsequently sent for destruction pursuant to the FDPA provision as per DIN 66399. All data carriers, in particular hard drives and magnetic tapes, are completely shredded by machine. The volume flows are recorded pursuant to recycling legislation and monitored by our certification body.
